Prof. Dr. Pilar Martinez-Martinez is a neuro-immunologist with expertise in molecular pathology with particular interest in antibody-mediated autoimmunity. She graduated University of Valencia, where she did also her PhD. Currently she is a professor at Maastricht University, The Netherlands, where she is managing the molecular cell biology facility of the Department of Neuroscience. Her work has a major impact in the understanding of antibody functions and in the development of antibody therapies currently in use for several diseases.
Prof. Dr. Madelon Peters studied psychology at the University at Amsterdam with a specialization in psychophysiology. She obtained her PhD at Maastricht University in the area of pain research. After a post doc period at Utrecht University, where she studied the effects of stress on immune functioning, she returned to Maastricht University. In 2007 she was appointed as full professor with a chair in experimental health psychology. Her current research focuses on chronic pain, emotion regulation and positive psychology.
Anna Nieboer is a professor of Socio-Medical Sciences at the Institute of Health Policy and Management, Erasmus University. Her work is focused on quality improvement in long-term care, innovation in health and social care, the self-management abilities and wellbeing of community-dwelling. Anna Nieboer has extensive experience with the evaluation of large-scale, complex, and multidisciplinary interventions.
